This kit includes materials and instructions for a basic solar car. Students may substitute some materials or change the design based on their own creativity. (May be different from the picture shown).
Discover the power of the sun with more than 10 experiments. You can
produce some serious energy with this kit. A solar energy lab complete
with converging mirror, wooden stand, clear plastic test tube and glass thermometer. Instructions are available online.
These solar cells are used to power small motors and other devices which draw small amounts of current. Can be used individually or linked to each other for more voltage or more current.
Polycrystaline Epoxy Resin solar panel with 0.6 watt output, used for solar energy science experiments, solar cars, solar robots and solar chargers.
Size: 60 mm x 80 mm
Output Voltage 1.5 Volts
Output Current 400 mA
Solar Cells also called photovoltaic cells are finding their way into
thousands of uses world wide. This kit is an economical introduction to
photovoltaics, also known as PV.
UV sensitive beads are pony beads that are white in normal light, but they change color when exposed to ultraviolet light. That is why they are also known as UV detector beads or solar beads. When exposed to UV light, the beads change from white to vibrant colors such as blue, purple, red, pink and yellow. Beads will maintain their color for a while even after they are back to normal light. UV sensitive beads may be used to identify UV presence, the strength of UV light and to test UV filters and UV creams.
