Electromagnet Science Kit

The Electromagnet Science Kit is designed to introduce and educate users about the principles of electromagnetism through hands-on experiments. With this kit, you can build various devices such as an electromagnet, electrical catapult, doorbell chime, telegraph, electromagnetic relay, and more.

The kit includes essential materials like enameled copper wire (Magnet Wire 28 AWG: Spool of 100 feet), a battery holder that mounts and connects 2 C size 1.5-volt batteries to produce 3 volts, a large nail as the core of the electromagnet, iron filings to reveal the direction of magnetic lines formed by the electromagnet, a wood block with pilot holes as a base for a telegraph station, a key strip for electrical contact, an armature in a large Z-shaped metal strip, a magnetic compass for testing the poles of the electromagnet, and sandpaper for removing the insulating enamel from the ends of the copper wire.

Instructions for conducting the experiments are available online, ensuring easy access and guidance throughout the learning process. Additionally, the kit is available in two different levels: basic and advanced. The advanced level kit expands the possibilities with additional materials, including 6 disk magnets, 1 neodymium magnet (super magnet), 2 latch magnets, 3 wood blocks with pilot holes, 8 small metal strips for keys, 3 large Z-shaped metal strips as armatures, a spool of 200 feet of magnet wire, 3 battery holders for 2 C size cells, 4 nails, insulated wires, bare wire, screws, a bottle of steel shapes (polished iron pieces), and a small bag of iron filings.

With each kit, you can perform at least 30 different experiments, making it a comprehensive and engaging tool for learning about electromagnetism. The materials provided cater to both basic and advanced levels, ensuring that users can progress and explore deeper concepts as they gain knowledge and experience.
